2026 Oscars Tasting Menu: Frankenstein

Alright, I’m not a big sci-fi person. So the thought of watching this movie was about the same as I feel at the prospect of watching something like Dune (great dread). I have never seen a prior Frankenstein movie, just old clips and knew it was likely not for me. But, I must say this movie was pretty good and I think the director took a good approach to an old storyline. Dr. Frankenstein was obsessed with milk and there was a food scene that featured some sort of custard or ice cream dessert in a fancy shape. So, I tried to mimic that as a little palate cleanser for these posts. Much like Dr. Frankenstein creating the perfect being, I struggled to find my own proper recipe for what I wanted to accomplish. So, while it looks ok and tasted fine, it wasn’t exactly what I intended, and therefore won’t provide a recipe, just a photo of the result.
